Robert Salmon

Robert “Bob” Salmon is managing director of strategy and institutional assessment at LDS Business College.

After serving as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Brazil South Mission, he earned a bachelor’s degree in speech communications from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He then received a master’s degree in public administration, budgeting and finance, from Arizona State University.

Salmon has 22 years of experience in higher education senior management. He joined LDS Business College in 2015 after working as the executive director and campus CEO for Stevens-Henager College. He has worked as professor, director, assistant to the president and dean of business at Southern Utah University; the southwestern regional executive director of academics at the University of Phoenix; a vice president and provost for the Yavapai Community College District; a campus dean at Central Arizona College; and executive director of the Arizona Community College Association.

Salmon has also worked as senior vice president and general manager for Fidelity Investments, a western regional director and chief executive for Holiday Inn Incorporated, a vice president and director for Citicorp, and a North American director of telecommunications and worldwide director of travelers check refunds for American Express.

Bob Salmon currently serves in the LDS Church as a stake Sunday school president. He has also served as a stake young men’s president, a bishop and counselor, a stake high councilor and executive secretary, and in numerous ward callings. His hobbies include racquetball, horseback riding and golf. He and his wife, Gloria, live in Bountiful, Utah. They have five daughters and 15 grandchildren.
