A special spirit was felt at the Assembly Hall as Elder Oaks and Sister Oaks arrived for devotional. It’s was a wonderful opportunity for LDSBC Students and staff to learn through the spirit from Sister Oaks. She taught that in a world full of voices and distractions from the media and the internet we must seek for the importance of listening to and following the prophet. The prophet will help us to remain in the truth.

Time to do what is right

Using time wisely was the theme of Sonya Adam’s testimony at devotional on Tuesday. She pointed out how each student knows what they need to do to succeed in their learning opportunities. Sonya said that goals include balancing our time to include strengthening our relationship with God, loving others and having fun. She feels that sometimes the balancing act can feel overwhelming, but it is worth it.

Changes and challenges are part of life. There might be occasions when you can’t understand the reason why something is happening to you or you don’t know what is the next step you should take to succeed. It might be that everything has completely changed for you, but there is something sure in all the uncertainty of life: “All things will work for your good”  (D&C 122:7).
